As a family-run business, Akvila has always prioritised people, earning the trust of customers across generations.

1920

Akvila is founded in Vyborg. Travelling salesmen distribute ink and glue for Finnish schools and offices.

1943

Amid World War II, Akvila installs its first bakelite press to produce caps, marking the company's entry into plastics manufacturing.

1960

Disposable cutlery joins the line-up, carrying Akvila into picnic baskets and kitchen drawers across the country.

1995

Reusable drinkware launches with the Smart, Privilege and Tao collections, offering an alternative to single-use cups.

2020

Akvila celebrates its 100 years in business and shifts its full attention to shatter-proof drinkware for venues, hotels, bars, and restaurants worldwide.
